  • COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
    Microwave

    1. Empty all the spices into a microwaveable container. Add 2 tablespoons of oil or 10g of margarine and 2 .5 cups of boiling water.
    2. Add all the rice to the mixture and stir.
    3. Cover immediately and microwave for 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
    4. Remove from the microwave, fluff with a fork and serve.

    Stove top/Oven

    1. Empty all the spices into a saucepan. Add 2 tablespoons oil or 10g margarine and 2 cups of water. Bring mixture to a boil on a stovetop.
    2. Add all the rice to the boiling mixture and stir.
    3. Cover the saucepan tightly and simmer on the lowest heat for 30 minutes or until rice is tender. 
    4. Remove from the heat, mix, and serve. 

    SERVING SUGGESTIONS
    Jollof rice is a very versatile dish and can be eaten alone or served with salads, vegetables or boiled, fried/baked/stewed protein of your choice.
