Jollof Rice in 15 minutes (12 Pouches)
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Microwave- Empty all the spices into a microwaveable container. Add 2 tablespoons of oil or 10g of margarine and 2 .5 cups of boiling water.
- Add all the rice to the mixture and stir.
- Cover immediately and microwave for 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Remove from the microwave, fluff with a fork and serve.
Stove top/Oven
- Empty all the spices into a saucepan. Add 2 tablespoons oil or 10g margarine and 2 cups of water. Bring mixture to a boil on a stovetop.
- Add all the rice to the boiling mixture and stir.
- Cover the saucepan tightly and simmer on the lowest heat for 30 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Remove from the heat, mix, and serve.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Jollof rice is a very versatile dish and can be eaten alone or served with salads, vegetables or boiled, fried/baked/stewed protein of your choice.
